If you don’t travel often, these fares are your best option. Use this page to find out which fare is right for you.

single ticket

A single journey ticket is valid for a one-way journey - just buy from the driver with cash when you board the bus.

Single journey fares vary depending on the distance travelled.  Regular-priced single journey fares normally range from £1 to £4.90.

If making more than one journey or travelling more frequently, our range of multi-journey tickets are likely to be of better value.

child

Children under 5 years of age travel free when accompanied by an adult.

Children under 11 travel at half the regular (adult) fare.

Young people under 20 years of age (11-19 years inclusive) can travel at discounted single journey fares (usually at least 1/3 off the regular price). No ID is required.

If you live in the Greater Manchester or West Yorkshire areas you can get more money off with an IGO pass (Greater Manchester) or a Metro Young Persons Photocard (West Yorkshire).

If making more than one journey or travelling more frequently, our range of multi-journey tickets are likely to be of better value.
