Bury Market

It’s one of the UK’s top tourist attractions, world-famous in fact, and is open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays selling just about everything you need for your home, garden, yourself and your pets, plus fresh food and produce, not to mention friendly service & great value. There are stalls both in the architecturally imposing Market Hall and in the Market Square.

Mill Gate Shopping Centre, Bury

Not far from Bury’s famous market is one of Bury’s two main shopping centres, Mill Gate. It has several top UK retailers, including HMV, Boots, BHS, New Look and Waterstones - and plenty of places to have a drink or grab a bite, too.

The Rock, Bury

A short walk north of Bury Market, you’ll find The Rock. This shopping centre calls itself “North Manchester’s premier shopping and entertainment venue”, and it’s not hard to see why, with many of the nation’s biggest retail brands, plus cinemas and restaurants.

Rawtenstall Market, Rawtenstall

Open Thursdays and Saturdays, Rawtenstall Market is in the heart of Rossendale and great for top-quality fruit and veg. It also sells all sorts of things from the unconventional to the essential, including dancewear, accessories, wedding gifts, cakes, local foods, soaps and a lot more.

Bolton Market, Bolton

A short walk from Bolton town centre is Bolton Market. Although undergoing a massive refurbishment it’s business as usual at this multi award-winning market (including Tourism Retailer of the Year, Best Indoor Retail Market and Best Food Market at the BBC Radio 4 Food & Farming Awards).

The market has two fresh food halls with everyday and exotic fruit and veg, Mediterranean delis, locally sourced meats and cheeses to the region’s best outlet for fresh fish.

Blackburn Market

Blackburn is a traditional market town so, as you’d expect, its market is a must-see attraction in its own right. Food is a real highlight with fresh fruit and veg, tempting cupcakes & cookies, and fresh meat & cheeses all available from local sellers. And it’s not just for cooking at home either, plenty of sellers offer mouthwatering fresh sandwiches and snacks if you can’t wait.
